BOTOX® Dysport® and Xeomin ® are the three forms of Injectable Botulinum available in New Zealand. This is a particularly effective treatment for softening and reducing wrinkles such as frown lines on the forehead and brow areas of the face and "crows feet" lines. It does not harm the muscle or nerves but simply blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles so that the muscle is relaxed and unable to contract properly. The area remains relaxed and the wrinkles are appreciably softened as a result. These treatments are becoming more popular as they offer a simple, low risk and effective option to surgery for reducing facial wrinkles, giving our patients a more relaxed and refreshed appearance.

Carefully selected areas of the face can be gently injected, with minimal discomfort, to relax the targeted muscles that create lines and wrinkles and offer our clients a younger more refreshed appearance and prevent further deepening of these wrinkle lines. These agents have been administered worldwide to many millions of patients with a well established record of safety and efficacy. Medical uses of these products include excessive sweating and blepharospasm (eyelid twitching) ,headaches and tooth grinding as well as for cosmetic indications.

When considering your facial enhancement options, Botulinum treatments are quite affordable and many people are surprised at the relative cost of the treatment compared to other appearance related investments.

Dermal Fillers are soft smooth injectable gels made from a natural sugar complex called hyaluronic acid that is found naturally in our skin, connective tissue and eyes.

As we age we lose volume in the various fat pads of our face which can give rise to a sunken , tired expression. Dermal fillers used with care and attention to the overall harmony of your face and the underlying anatomical structures can offer pleasing natural results in improving cheek definition, lip volume , definition and shape, vertical lip (“barcode”) lines, temples , nasolabial folds between nose and mouth, the corners under the mouth, the chin and jawline.

Profhilo is a relatively new injectable treatment which acts as a skin booster and collagen stimulator and an excellent option for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness. It integrates with the skin to stimulate both the production of elastin and collagen in the skin improving skin hydration, tone and texture. It is principally used on the face and neck and works well to reduce the typical signs of ageing such as fine lines, hollowing and loose skin. There are two initial treatments spaced one month apart and then top ups are recommended every six months .
